About us

Yvonne Vermaak

Yvonne Vermaak completed her Bachelor of Psychology and Masters in Psychology at the University of Johannesburg. Thereafter, she underwent training in Hypnosis and Ego State Therapy at the South African Society of Clinical Hypnosis (SASCH). Additionally, she is trained under The Milton Erickson Institute of South Africa (MEISA) in Ericksonian Hypnosis, Ego State Therapy, as well as Somatic, Experiencing. Yvonne is a certified Trauma/Tension Releasing Exercise (TRE) facilitator.

Yvonne started off her career as an Intern Psychologist at the University of Johannesburg. She then went on to be a Psychologist at St Andrew's School for Girls. In 2011, Yvonne opened up her own private practice. Yvonne now offers Counselling Psychology services at 1 off Rivonia, 1 de la Rey Road, Edenburg, Sandton 2128.

Yvonne helps adolescents and adults to overcome their emotional problems and cope with tough situations using a range of treatments, such as hypnotherapy, ego-state therapy and somatic experiencing. The focus of her therapy services is to enhance psychological well-being and allow individuals to better manage personal life challenges and optimise their quality of life. During sessions, she helps individuals with all kinds of difficulties, from depression and anxiety to post-traumatic stress and the emotional effects of health and neurological conditions.
